Four ways to learn
1. One-day introduction to machine knitting
Cast on, knit a tension swatch, shape, and cast off. You leave with a finished piece (usually a scarf or beanie) and the confidence to use a machine on your own. No experience needed. Machines and yarn supplied.
- When: 10am–3pm, weekends
- Where: Normanville or Adelaide
- Price: $250
2. 8-week course: from swatch to garment
Eight weekly classes that take you from your first swatch to a finished garment. We cover tension and gauge, shaping, ribs and hems, reading and adapting patterns, finishing and seaming, and how to knit so a piece can be repaired later.
- Format: 8 weekly classes (2hrs each week)
- Where: Normanville or Adelaide, weekends
- Level: beginners, and returners who learned years ago
- Price: $800 (payment can be made in 4)

No. Machines are supplied for the one-day introduction and the 8-week course. For a machine clinic you bring your own.
Is machine knitting hard to learn?
Most people knit a usable swatch within the first hour. The skill is in tension, shaping and finishing, which is what the course teaches.
Where are classes held?
Normanville or Adelaide, on weekends.
What machine should I buy?
Ask us before you buy. We will tell you what to look for in a second-hand machine and what to avoid.
